The Original Premium News Theme is a bit rough around the edges (in terms of its looks). It features space for featured Posts panel on the homepage using jQuery technology to display / hide the posts; layout that supports all three of the most popular web ad sizes, animated horizontal drop-down menu and more.

I don’t know that I’d say this theme was rough around the edges. It might be a bit too busy. I’m either going to check it out to see what is going on or I’m going to bypass it because it’s too cluttered. It might be a love it or hate it.

As with other theme features, the most simple and useful one is cross-browser compatibility, custom page templates and very good support page. A nice theme to give a try.

I’ve tried using this theme; this is one of the free news themes out there. It was a good theme; I only had a few problems with it. The photo for the featured topic is too small, and I only had limited spaces for ads.

Overall it’s a nice theme for news purposes, but it’s not as polished as some other themes in the same category and I do not like some things about it.
The YouTube video space doesn’t fit very well. Also, the slider is a bit plain. The Ad space isn’t very good either.

It looks to be a pretty good them in my opinion. I’m thinking about giving it a try but haven’t settled one yet to be honest.
